Anti-Influenza B Virus Antibody

Manufactured for research-grade immunodetection of Influenza B Virus, this affinity reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as a purified IgG fraction of goat antiserum raised against purified virions of the Yamagata strain of Influenza B, providing class- and lineage-specific recognition in routine virology workflows. The unconjugated polyclonal antibody is presented in a 500 µL liquid format at a typical IgG concentration of 4–5 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.1% sodium azide as preservative, and it is validated for ELISA, indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA) and Western blot (WB). Specificity is restricted to Influenza B virions, with no detectable cross-reactivity against Influenza A, Parainfluenza types 1–3, RSV or Adenovirus, and uninfected monkey kidney cells give a negative signal by indirect immunofluorescence. With goat as host species, polyclonal clonality and IgG isotype, the reagent tolerates standard −20 °C long-term storage (avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles) and is shipped cold for laboratory use only, fitting neatly into viral antigen screening, lysate validation and immunofluorescence titre determination for Influenza B isolates and recombinant antigens.
