INDO (Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase) is a heme-containing enzyme that catalyzes the first rate-limiting step of tryptophan degradation along the kynurenine pathway, and it plays a well-documented role in immune tolerance and tumor immune escape. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against INDO and validated for western blot detection across human, mouse, and rat samples. Supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated reagent is suitable for immunoblotting of endogenous IDO1 protein in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. Researchers studying cancer immunotherapy, inflammation, and tryptophan metabolism use this reagent to monitor IFN-γ-induced upregulation of the enzyme in tumor microenvironment models. Store at -20°C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light.
