This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets Interleukin Enhancer-Binding Factor 2 (ILF2), a 45 kDa nuclear transcription factor originally characterized by its binding to the interleukin-2 promoter. The reagent was raised in rabbit and is supplied as an unconjugated liquid at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged in a 100 µl vial that supports multiple immunostaining experiments.

ILF2, also known as NF45, forms an obligate heterodimer with ILF3/NF90. The complex regulates transcription, pre-mRNA splicing, microRNA biogenesis, and the cellular DNA damage response. ILF2 is therefore used as a marker in studies of T-cell signaling, viral replication cycles (including dengue and hepatitis B), and oncogenic processes such as glioma progression and non-small cell lung cancer, where its expression often tracks proliferative and stress-responsive nuclear activity.

Validated applications include Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) on human, mouse, and rat samples. On western blots, the antibody recognizes a band near the predicted 45 kDa molecular weight. The glycerol-containing buffer allows storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw damage, and the antibody is shipped on cold packs to preserve activity.

Each lot is affinity-purified and quality-controlled to support reproducible detection across these assays, making it a practical primary reagent for laboratories investigating RNA-binding protein networks, innate immunity, or nuclear factor signaling pathways.
