Anti-IL6R Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent targets the human interleukin-6 receptor subunit alpha and is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 50 µl aliquot. The antibody is validated for Western blot detection of IL6R in cell and tissue lysates and for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections, supporting studies of IL-6/JAK/STAT3 signaling in inflammation, autoimmunity, and oncology research. IL6R (CD126) functions as the ligand-binding alpha chain of the IL-6 receptor complex and exists in both membrane-bound and soluble forms, the latter enabling IL-6 trans-signaling through gp130 on cells that do not themselves express IL6R. For short-term use, store refrigerated; for longer periods, aliquot and freeze, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity.
