Anti-IL6 Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting IL-6, supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated IgG preparation in liquid form. According to the manufacturer's specification, it is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) on Mouse and Rat samples, with recommended dilutions of 1:500–1:1,000 for WB and 1:50–1:200 for ICC/IF. The antibody is affinity purified and supplied in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.05% Proclin 300 as a preservative. The reported molecular weight of the target is 26 kDa.

The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 1–100 of human IL-6 (accession NP_000591.1), with sequence MNSFSTSAFGPVAFSLGLLLVLPAAFPAPVPPGEDSKDVAAPHRQPLTSSERIDKQIRYILDGISALRKETCNKSNMCESSKEALAENNLNLPKMAEKDG. Concentration is lot specific. Vials are shipped at 4°C, then aliquoted and stored at -20°C upon delivery, with freeze/thaw cycles to be avoided.
