Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against human Interleukin-36 receptor antagonist (IL-36Ra), the protein product encoded by the IL36RN gene. This unconjugated reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (approximate pH 7.3) containing 0.05% sodium azide, and is validated for Western Blot detection of endogenous IL36RN in human and rat samples.

IL-36Ra belongs to the IL-1 cytokine family and competitively blocks IL-36 receptor signalling, restraining the pro-inflammatory cascade triggered by the agonists IL-36α, IL-36β, and IL-36γ. Homozygous or compound heterozygous loss-of-function variants in IL36RN underlie DITRA (deficiency of the IL-36 receptor antagonist), an autoinflammatory presentation strongly associated with generalized pustular psoriasis and with flares driven by IL-36 pathway dysregulation in keratinocytes.

The 100 µl pack size supports multiple blotting experiments, and the PBS-based formulation with sodium azide is intended for refrigerated storage to preserve antibody activity. Investigators working on epithelial inflammation, keratinocyte signalling, psoriatic skin disease, and comparative cytokine pathway work between human and rodent systems can use this reagent to probe IL36RN expression in tissue lysates and cultured cell extracts resolved under reducing SDS-PAGE conditions.
