The IL-2 receptor subunit beta (IL2RB), also designated CD122, forms part of the signaling receptor complexes for both interleukin-2 and interleukin-15 on T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, where it mediates JAK-STAT pathway activation critical for lymphocyte proliferation and effector function. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against human IL2RB and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows, supporting studies of immune cell signaling, tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte phenotyping, and cytokine-driven responses in inflammation and oncology research. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid, and its reactivity profile is restricted to human tissue, making it appropriate for use on cultured human cell lines, primary immune cell preparations, and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections examined by chromogenic or immunofluorescence detection. Polyclonal specificity permits recognition of multiple epitopes on the extracellular domain of IL2RB, which is advantageous when probing samples in which post-translational modification or proteolytic cleavage could otherwise compromise monoclonal binding. For best results, store refrigerated at 4°C, aliquot upon arrival, limit freeze-thaw cycles, and include positive control material known to express CD122, such as activated T cell blasts or NK cell lines.
