Interleukin-19 (IL-19) is a member of the IL-10 cytokine family that signals through the IL-20R1/IL-20R2 receptor heterodimer and has been studied for its contributions to Th2-skewed inflammation, keratinocyte biology, and mucosal immune responses. The rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against this cytokine and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry, supporting detection of endogenous IL-19 in both denatured cell and tissue lysates and in fixed, paraffin-embedded sections. Because the reagent is unconjugated, it can be paired with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-labeled secondary reagents of the researcher's choice, and it is supplied as 100 µL of polyclonal antiserum suitable for multiple staining or blotting experiments after appropriate dilution.

Reactivity has been confirmed against human and mouse samples, enabling side-by-side comparative work in disease models such as psoriasis-like dermatitis, allergic airway inflammation, and autoimmune conditions where IL-19 expression has been reported. Researchers commonly use this reagent to examine IL-19 induction by keratinocytes, monocytes, and B cells, to map receptor-expressing populations in skin and lung tissue, and to follow cytokine up-regulation in stimulated cell culture models. For Western blot, working concentrations typically fall in the standard range for rabbit polyclonal primaries against small cytokines, and for IHC the antibody is used on formalin-fixed tissue with antigen retrieval to reveal cytoplasmic staining patterns in IL-19-producing cells.
