Anti-IL17A Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com and distributed through Bio-Connect, this primary polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit against the cytokine IL17A (Interleukin-17A), a disulfide-linked homodimeric member of the IL-17 ligand family that signals through the IL-17 receptor and is most commonly investigated in T helper 17 cell biology, mucosal inflammation, and autoimmune models. Each vial is supplied at 50 µl with a concentration of 1 mg/ml, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant to preserve activity during long-term storage at -20 °C. The reagent is unconjugated, carries an estimated purity greater than 95% by affinity purification, and is sold under a Research Use Only license. It is validated for Western Blot (WB) applications and has been tested on samples derived from human, mouse, and rat origin, making it a useful reagent for cross-species expression studies of IL17A in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. As a polyclonal reagent, the antiserum recognizes multiple epitopes across the target, increasing the likelihood of detecting endogenous IL17A even when minor sequence variation exists between species. For best results, researchers should avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles, aliquot the antibody upon first thaw, briefly equilibrate the vial to 4 °C before handling, and pair it with appropriate secondary detection reagents suited to the host species.
