Anti-IL16 Antibody [210]

Clone 210 is a mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com that recognises human interleukin-16, a pleiotropic cytokine originally characterised as lymphocyte chemoattractant factor (LCF). The reagent is supplied in lyophilised form at 100 µg per vial, unconjugated and of the IgG2a isotype, and is validated for ELISA-based detection of the target. IL-16 signals through the CD4 receptor and has been investigated in research on asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, multiple sclerosis, and the immunopathology of HIV infection, where it was first identified as a soluble factor modulating viral replication. The lyophilised powder should be reconstituted in sterile buffer shortly before use; reconstituted aliquots are kept refrigerated to preserve binding activity, and the unopened vial remains stable until the printed expiry. Researchers commonly apply this antibody to measure IL-16 levels in cell culture supernatants and tissue-derived samples, supporting studies of T-cell recruitment, eosinophil activation, and chronic inflammatory signalling.
