Raised in rabbit against IL13RA2 (interleukin-13 receptor subunit alpha-2, also called CD213a2), this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is validated for Western blot detection of the target in human, mouse and rat samples.

IL13RA2 is a single-pass transmembrane receptor most noted for its overexpression in glioblastoma and several other solid tumours, where it has become an active focus for CAR-T and antibody-based immunotherapy research, including studies of IL13 ligand binding, receptor shedding and downstream signalling.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3. For short term use it can be kept refrigerated; for longer storage it should be aliquoted and frozen to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, with the azide offering microbial protection.

Intended for research use only, common applications for this product category include in vitro studies of tumour cell receptor profiling, western blot analysis of IL13RA2 expression, and characterisation of candidate immunotherapies.
