Manufactured by Antibodies.com as a research-use-only reagent, this polyclonal antibody targets human IL13RA1 (Interleukin-13 receptor subunit alpha-1) and is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at a concentration of 1 mg/ml, formulated in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The reagent is an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody produced against endogenous IL13RA1, with an estimated purity greater than 95%, and is validated for two routine applications: Western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human samples. The unconjugated format makes the antibody compatible with standard secondary detection chemistries, and the glycerol-containing buffer permits convenient storage at –20 °C with minimal freeze–thaw handling for working volumes. Because the host species is rabbit and the clonality is polyclonal, the reagent recognizes multiple epitopes on the IL13RA1 target, which can help reduce signal loss from minor conformational variation. The reactivity profile is restricted to human tissue, so it is suitable for studies on cell lines and primary samples of human origin but is not listed as validated for mouse or rat. The buffered aqueous formulation with 0.1% sodium azide acts as a microbial preservative, allowing the antibody to be stored for extended periods when handled aseptically and kept refrigerated or frozen according to standard laboratory practice. It is intended for research use only and is not cleared for diagnostic or therapeutic applications. As an IL13RA1-directed polyclonal reagent, this product is well matched to workflows that require detection of the interleukin-13 receptor alpha-1 chain, a subunit involved in JAK/STAT6 signalling downstream of IL-13 and IL-4 binding.
