Raised in rabbit against the human interleukin-13 receptor subunit alpha-1, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com detects IL13RA1 in research samples via Western blot and immunohistochemistry. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, giving labs an unconjugated format that can be paired with HRP, biotin, fluorophore, or gold reporters chosen for a specific workflow.

IL13RA1 pairs with IL4RA to assemble a heterodimeric receptor that transduces IL-13-driven JAK-STAT6 signaling and contributes to the type II IL-4 receptor complex in select cellular contexts. Probing the alpha-1 subunit is informative for studies of Th2-skewed inflammation, airway epithelial remodeling in asthma, keratinocyte and dermal signaling in atopic dermatitis, fibrotic tissue remodeling, and the receptor expression patterns reported in certain hematologic malignancies and solid tumor biopsies where IL-13 pathway activity has been described.

The product ships in a single vial and should be stored according to standard antibody handling guidance. Aliquoting the glycerol-containing stock on first use is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles, with working dilutions prepared in a compatible buffer for blotting or staining protocols.
