This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets IL12RB1, a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that serves as the beta-1 subunit of both the interleukin-12 and interleukin-23 receptor complexes. Raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the antibody is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human tissue and cell samples. IL12RB1 pairs with IL12RB2 to assemble the high-affinity IL-12 receptor, and with IL23R to form the IL-23 receptor, activating JAK2 and TYK2 kinases to drive Th1 and Th17 differentiation and interferon-gamma production. The reagent is therefore relevant to studies of mycobacterial susceptibility, inflammatory bowel disease, psoriasis, and other cell-mediated immune pathways. Each vial contains 100 µl, aliquoted from a stock that should be stored refrigerated and protected from light to preserve activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
