Raised in rabbit against the ligand-binding subunit of the interleukin-10 receptor, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is affinity-purified from antiserum and supplied as a 50 µl liquid aliquot in PBS buffer. The target, IL10RA (also known as CD210a or IL-10R1), is a single-pass type I membrane protein of approximately 63 kDa encoded by the IL10RA gene. Upon IL-10 binding, IL10RA pairs with IL10RB to form the signaling-competent heterotetramer, activating JAK1 and TYK2 kinases and driving STAT3 phosphorylation, nuclear translocation, and transcription of anti-inflammatory mediators. The antibody detects the extracellular domain of IL10RA and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. Endogenous expression is concentrated in hematopoietic lineages, including monocytes, macrophages, B cells, T cells, and NK cells, with little or no expression reported in fibroblasts or endothelial cells, making the reagent a useful marker for tracking IL-10 receptor distribution across myeloid and lymphoid compartments in mucosal immunity, inflammatory bowel disease, and autoimmune model systems. Store the vial at -20 °C in working aliquots to minimize freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody activity.
