Anti-IL-4 Antibody

Interleukin-4 (IL-4) is a secreted glycoprotein of approximately 14–17 kDa that plays a central role in driving Th2-type immune responses, including B-cell class-switch recombination to IgE, alternative activation of macrophages, and differentiation of naive CD4+ T cells toward a Th2 phenotype. Because of this biology, the reagent is widely used in immunology, allergy, and asthma research to profile cytokine expression in activated peripheral blood mononuclear cells, differentiated Th2 cultures, and disease-relevant tissue samples. The antibody recognizes the human IL-4 protein and is provided without a fluorophore or enzyme label, allowing users to pair it with their own secondary detection reagents such as HRP, biotin, or fluorescent conjugates depending on the assay.
