Anti-IL-16 Antibody

A primary antibody from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit against human Interleukin-16 (IL-16), supplied as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent in a 100 µl vial. This anti-IL-16 polyclonal reagent is validated for Western blot and ELISA workflows, binding the endogenous human IL-16 target.

IL-16, originally described as lymphocyte chemoattractant factor (LCF), is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that signals through CD4 on responsive immune cells. The full-length precursor is cleaved by caspase-3 into a bioactive C-terminal fragment that mediates chemotactic activity. Because the antibody is unconjugated, researchers can pair it with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries to build custom Western blot, immunohistochemistry, or immunoprecipitation detection setups.

For long-term storage, keep the vial at -20°C; for active use, refrigeration at 4°C is acceptable. Aliquot upon receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect antibody activity. Intended for research use only.
