IKK beta (IKBKB) is a serine/threonine kinase that forms the catalytic core of the canonical NF-kB signaling complex, and this rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against it for detection in human samples. The kinase phosphorylates IkB alpha to drive its ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation, releasing NF-kB dimers that translocate into the nucleus and switch on transcription of genes linked to inflammation, innate immunity, and cell survival.

Supplied as 100 ul of unconjugated polyclonal antiserum raised in rabbit, the reagent is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. Investigators studying chronic inflammatory disease, oncogenic signaling, cytokine responses, or innate immune activation use it to localize IKK beta expression and follow post-translational regulation in fixed tissue sections and lysed cell preparations.

For optimal stability, aliquot the antibody upon first thaw to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and store at -20 degrees C in working volumes, protected from light. Thawed aliquots can be kept on ice during active bench use without notable loss of activity.
