Anti-IKK-b (Ab-199) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody, offered by Antibodies.com, recognizes inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa-B kinase subunit beta (IKKβ) at an epitope mapping around residue 199 of the human protein. IKKβ is the catalytic core of the canonical IKK complex and phosphorylates IκBα, leading to its ubiquitination and the nuclear translocation of NF-κB transcription factors. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum and is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows on samples originating from human, mouse, and rat cells.

Because the antigenic site sits in a region distinct from the kinase activation loop, the antibody is generally used to monitor total IKKβ abundance rather than its phosphorylated state, making it a useful loading reference alongside phospho-specific reagents in cytokine, TNF-α, or LPS stimulation studies.
