Produced in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, this 100 µl antibody from Antibodies.com selectively binds IKKα, the catalytic kinase subunit (also called CHUK) that drives canonical and non-canonical NF-κb signaling. Recommended for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples, it is used to study inflammatory cascades, immune cell maturation, and cytokine-driven transcriptional programs.

Beyond its role inside the cytoplasmic IKK complex, where it phosphorylates Iκbα and the NF-κb1 precursor p105, IKKα also operates as a nuclear regulator of histone phosphorylation and keratinocyte differentiation. That dual function makes this reagent a useful tool for separating the contributions of IKKα from those of the closely related IKKβ isoform in cancer cell survival studies and chronic inflammatory disease models. Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum in a vial, the antibody is intended for research use only and integrates into standard blotting and staining protocols.
