The unconjugated reagent is provided at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. It was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, achieving a purity greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. According to the manufacturer's specification, the antibody detects endogenous levels of IKKβ protein only when phosphorylated at Tyr199.
