Anti-IKKβ (L193) Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets IKKβ and is validated for use in Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). It is unconjugated and reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples. The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2.

IKKβ is a subunit of the functional IκB kinase (IKK) complex, which also contains IKKα and IKKγ (also designated NEMO). The IKK complex phosphorylates the inhibitory protein IκB on specific serine residues, including Serines 32 and 36 of IκB-α, targeting it for degradation. In the resting state, IκB retains the transcription factor NFκB in the cytoplasm in an inactive form, and phosphorylation-driven degradation of IκB releases NFκB. Each subunit of the complex appears to make essential contributions to IκB phosphorylation.
