Anti-IKBKG Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbits and targets IKBKG, the regulatory gamma-subunit of the IKK complex also known as NEMO. As the indispensable scaffold of canonical NF-kB activation, IKBKG is a focal protein in studies of innate immunity, inflammatory signalling, apoptosis, and viral immune evasion, and mutations in the IKBKG locus are causally linked to Incontinentia Pigmenti and related X-linked immunodeficiency syndromes.

The unconjugated preparation is supplied as 100 ul in a single-use vial and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat specimens. Researchers apply it to detect endogenous IKBKG in whole-cell lysates, to localize the protein in fixed tissue sections, and to follow IKK complex assembly in signalling time-course experiments. Each lot is affinity-purified from rabbit serum to minimize background and to support reproducible band patterns in WB and clean signal in IF and IHC.

For best stability, the antibody should be aliquoted on receipt and stored at -20 degrees C, with repeated freeze-thaw cycles avoided; a working stock can be kept short term at 4 degrees C.
