IκB-epsilon (NFKBIE) is a cytoplasmic member of the IκB inhibitor family that retains NF-κB transcription factors in the cytoplasm until activation signals trigger their degradation. The polyclonal antibody offered by Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit against an epitope in the N-terminal region of human IκB-epsilon near residue 22, enabling selective detection of the full-length protein in cell and tissue lysates.

Validated applications include Western blot for protein-level expression analysis and immunohistochemistry (IHC) for spatial localization in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Cross-reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting experimental work in standard laboratory models and in primary human specimens.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum in a vial format, ready for dilution into standard blocking buffers. Storage at -20 °C in small aliquots is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antigen-binding activity across the working shelf life of the reagent.

For laboratories studying NF-κB signaling, inflammatory pathway activation, or downstream transcriptional responses, the antibody provides a reagent to monitor IκB-epsilon turnover under stimulated versus resting conditions and can be paired with antibodies directed at related IκB family members in broader signaling panels.
