Anti-IkB-α (phospho-Y42) Antibody

Antibodies.com provides a rabbit polyclonal antibody directed against IκB-α phosphorylated at Tyrosine 42. Raised in rabbit and purified from antiserum by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen, the unconjugated reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2.

The immunogen is a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human IκB-α around the Tyr42 phosphorylation site, and the antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of IκB-α protein only when phosphorylated at Tyr42. It has been validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. The expected molecular weight of the target is ~36 kDa, and SDS-PAGE analysis indicates a purity greater than 95%.
