The Antibodies.com Anti-IgG2a Antibody [KT92] is a rat monoclonal antibody produced by the KT92 hybridoma clone, raised against murine IgG2a immunoglobulin. With a rat IgG2c isotype and unconjugated format, this primary antibody binds specifically to the heavy chain of mouse IgG2a, enabling selective detection in immunological workflows. Researchers commonly employ this reagent in ELISA and Western blot protocols to characterize subclass-specific antibody responses in murine models, including hybridoma screening, isotype profiling of vaccine-induced antibodies, and characterization of monoclonal antibody production. Supplied as a liquid at 200 µg per vial, the antibody is recommended for storage at -20°C with optional aliquoting to limit freeze-thaw cycles, preserving binding activity for repeated use. Because the clone is mouse-specific and does not significantly cross-react with mouse IgG1, IgG2b, or IgG3, it discriminates reliably between closely related murine immunoglobulin subclasses. Provided by Antibodies.com, the KT92 clone supports reproducible subclass-specific detection in research use only applications.
