Raised in rabbit against insulin-like growth factor 2 mRNA-binding protein 2 (IMP2), this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets a KH-domain-containing RNA-binding protein that regulates IGF2 translation, mRNA stability, and subcellular trafficking in embryonic and adult tissues.

Provided as 100 µl of unconjugated antibody at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the format is a single-use vial intended for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. IGF2BP2 has been widely studied as a type 2 diabetes susceptibility locus, in hepatic and pancreatic lipid handling, and in tumor cell plasticity, where reactivated expression has been documented in hepatocellular carcinoma, colorectal cancer, and acute myeloid leukemia.

For western blot, the antibody detects the endogenous ~66 kDa IGF2BP2 band in lysates from liver, pancreas, or cultured cancer lines. In immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, it labels cytoplasmic and perinuclear IGF2BP2 in metabolically active epithelia and in tumors with reactivated oncofetal programs. Store at -20 °C, protected from light, in the supplied glycerol-containing buffer to preserve activity through repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
