Anti-IGF2 Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is raised in rabbit and directed against insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2), a key mitogenic peptide involved in mammalian growth and development. The polyclonal antibody is supplied at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µl volume of phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4, without Mg²⁺ or Ca²⁺) containing 150 mM sodium chloride, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The immunogen used for immunization was a recombinant human IGF2 protein, and the resulting antibody recognizes the endogenous total IGF2 pool. It is unconjugated, making it suitable for use as a primary reagent in standard immunodetection workflows. Validated applications include Western blotting and immunohistochemistry, where it has been used to visualize IGF2 expression across human, mouse, and rat samples. The antibody is shipped at 4 °C and should be stored at -20 °C upon arrival, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
