This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com selectively detects the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R) only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 1131, a residue located within the activation loop of the intracellular kinase domain. Phosphorylation at Y1131 is a hallmark of ligand-induced receptor activation and is widely used as a molecular readout of IGF1R signaling in growth factor and insulin pathway studies. The unconjugated IgG reagent is raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot detection of human IGF1R. Because it is polyclonal, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes surrounding the phospho-Y1131 site, generating strong signal in lysates prepared from cells stimulated with IGF1 or insulin. Each vial contains 200 µl of antibody, sufficient for multiple Western blot experiments. For storage, refrigerate and protect from light to preserve phospho-specific binding activity over multiple freeze-thaw cycles. Intended for research use only.
