This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets IGF-IIR (also known as IGF2R or the cation-independent mannose-6-phosphate receptor), a large multifunctional type I transmembrane glycoprotein that binds mannose-6-phosphate–bearing ligands and regulates intracellular trafficking of lysosomal enzymes while also sequestering IGF-II. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated reagent in a 50 µl vial, it has been validated for western blot and ELISA applications on human samples. IGF-IIR plays context-dependent roles in development, apoptosis, and tumor biology, and the receptor's high molecular weight (~270 kDa precursor) makes it a useful target when probing signaling, trafficking, or growth-factor–binding studies in research settings.
