The Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody targets IGF-IIR, the insulin-like growth factor II receptor, also known as the cation-independent mannose-6-phosphate receptor. This large type I transmembrane glycoprotein binds IGF-II with high affinity and routes lysosomal hydrolases bearing mannose-6-phosphate tags to the endosomal-lysosomal system, making it a marker of interest in studies of receptor-mediated endocytosis, growth-factor clearance, and intracellular trafficking.

Raised in rabbit, the antiserum is supplied unconjugated at 100 µL per vial, suitable for Western blot and ELISA detection of the human receptor. The polyclonal format offers multi-epitope coverage spanning the extracellular and cytoplasmic domains of IGF-IIR, which is useful when probing denatured lysate preparations or partially degraded receptor fragments. Because the reagent is unconjugated, the end-user can pair it with an HRP-, biotin-, or alkaline-phosphatase-conjugated secondary of choice to match the desired detection chemistry.

Aliquot on first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store the working aliquots according to the manufacturer's recommendations. The reagent is intended for research use only.
