Anti-IFT88 Antibody

This polyclonal antibody targets IFT88 (Intraflagellar Transport 88), a core component of the intraflagellar transport complex that drives bidirectional cargo movement along microtubules inside cilia and flagella. Supplied by Antibodies.com as a 200 µl aliquot of unconjugated rabbit IgG, the reagent supports western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows and reacts with both human and mouse orthologs. Reported applications include tracking primary cilia assembly in cultured mammalian cells, mapping protein localization at the basal body and along the ciliary axoneme, and probing IFT88 expression during kidney tubule development. Work on polycystic kidney disease, Bardet-Biedl syndrome, planar cell polarity, and Hedgehog signal transduction has used IFT88 antibodies of this kind to monitor ciliogenesis in fixed and sectioned tissue.
