Anti-IFT57 Antibody

Polyclonal rabbit antibody against the intraflagellar transport protein IFT57, also referenced in the literature as HIPPI, supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent in a 100 µl vial. The target is a component of the IFT-B complex required for bidirectional cargo movement along axonemal microtubules in primary and motile cilia, and the same protein has been characterized in apoptosis-pathway studies through its interaction with huntingtin.

Prepared as a polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit and shipped at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant, the reagent is suitable for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows against human IFT57. Aliquoting on receipt and storage at -20°C preserves activity for repeated use, and the expected band is detectable in the ~40-50 kDa region by immunoblotting of cultured mammalian cell lysates. Provided as a single-use vial sized for routine bench work, with reactivity reported for human samples and applicable to IHC staining of formalin-fixed tissue sections.
