Anti-IFITM3 Antibody

Raised in rabbit and supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated IgG, this Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody recognizes the interferon-induced transmembrane protein 3 (IFITM3) and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) applications on human and mouse samples.

IFITM3 is a small interferon-stimulated gene product that concentrates on endosomal and lysosomal membranes, where it functions as a restriction factor blocking the cytosolic entry of enveloped viruses such as influenza A, dengue, West Nile, Zika, and SARS-CoV-2. The protein is also involved in adaptive immune signaling, germ cell maturation, and tumor immune evasion, which has made it a target of active investigation in virology, immunology, and cancer research.

The reagent is delivered in a 200 µl vial for research use only. For routine use, store at 4 °C; for longer-term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C, limiting freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity.
