Raised in rabbit against the interferon-induced transmembrane protein 3 (IFITM3) target, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. IFITM3 is a small innate-immune effector widely studied for its ability to restrict the entry and replication of diverse pathogenic viruses, including influenza A and SARS-CoV-2, making antibodies directed against it a valuable tool for research into host-pathogen interactions, antiviral defense, and the regulation of interferon signaling pathways.

With applications in western blot (WB) and immunocytochemistry (ICC), this reagent cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies across model systems. It is intended for research use only and fits experiments ranging from profiling IFITM3 expression in cultured cells to investigating its role in tumor biology and germ cell maturation. The sodium azide preservative allows the working aliquot to be kept at 4 °C for routine use; for longer-term storage, freezing at -20 °C in working aliquots while avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles preserves antibody activity.
