A rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against Iduronate 2-Sulfatase (IDS), the lysosomal enzyme that hydrolyzes 2-sulfate groups from iduronic acid residues in heparan sulfate and dermatan sulfate. Mutations in the X-linked IDS gene cause Hunter syndrome (Mucopolysaccharidosis type II, MPS II), and this reagent supports research into lysosomal storage disorders, glycosaminoglycan catabolism, and enzyme replacement therapy responses.

From Antibodies.com, the antibody is supplied as a 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The 50% glycerol formulation protects the protein during storage at -20 °C and reduces freeze-thaw damage across repeated use. As an unconjugated primary antibody, it pairs flexibly with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents of the researcher's preference.

The polyclonal host response recognizes multiple epitopes across the IDS protein, useful when probing both precursor and processed lysosomal forms. Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry, with reactivity confirmed against Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. For research use only.
