Rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 2 (IDO2), a heme-containing enzyme implicated in tryptophan catabolism and immune tolerance pathways. This unconjugated reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, ready for direct labeling or use in standard Western blot workflows.

The antibody detects endogenous IDO2 in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting translational studies of the kynurenine pathway in tumor microenvironments, autoimmune models, and hepatic or renal tissue. Polyclonal reactivity broadens epitope coverage, which is useful when researchers need to distinguish IDO2 expression patterns from its better-characterized paralog IDO1 in the same lysate.

For Western blot, investigators typically resolve 10–30 µg of total protein per lane and detect IDO2 in the expected ~44 kDa range using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies and chemiluminescent or ECL substrates. Refrigerate the vial between uses and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity; the sodium azide preservative makes this reagent incompatible with live-cell staining or in vivo administration.
