The polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the gamma subunit of isocitrate dehydrogenase 3 (IDH3G), a mitochondrial NAD+-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to alpha-ketoglutarate within the tricarboxylic acid cycle. Raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, this reagent is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples, supporting investigation of mitochondrial metabolism, TCA-cycle enzymology, and cancer-associated changes in cellular energetics.

Because IDH3G resides in the mitochondrial matrix, the antibody is useful for studies of oxidative phosphorylation coupling, metabolic reprogramming in tumor cells, and the assembly of the heterotetrameric IDH3 complex. Researchers also apply it to characterize mitochondrial biogenesis and to compare IDH3G levels across normal versus transformed tissues.
