Designed for the specific detection of endogenous IDH3G in cell and tissue lysates, this affinity-purified primary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent and supplied at 1 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume of phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), pH approximately 7.3, with 0.05% sodium azide added as a preservative. The unconjugated antibody carries an estimated purity greater than 96% and is validated for Western blot (WB) applications across samples derived from human, mouse, and rat origins, making it broadly applicable to comparative studies in mammalian model systems. IDH3G encodes the gamma subunit of the mitochondrial NAD(+)-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase, a heterotetrameric enzyme of the mitochondrial matrix that catalyzes the rate-limiting, allosterically regulated oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate within the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle, and this reagent is therefore well suited to investigations of mitochondrial metabolism, the citrate cycle pathway, and the assembly or function of the IDH3 heterotetramer. For optimal long-term stability the vial should be stored at -20 °C, with brief handling kept at 2–8 °C and aliquoting recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Marketed strictly for research use only and not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications, the antibody provides laboratories with a reliable, well-characterized tool for probing IDH3G protein expression in basic and translational research settings.
