IDH3B (isocitrate dehydrogenase 3 (NAD+) beta) is the catalytic beta subunit of the mitochondrial NAD-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase complex, the enzyme that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to alpha-ketoglutarate with the simultaneous reduction of NAD+ to NADH inside the mitochondrial matrix as part of the TCA cycle. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent, supplied by Antibodies.com, is provided at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline at approximately pH 7.2 with 15 mM sodium azide as a preservative, and is validated for Western blot detection of the IDH3B target in human and rat samples. The 50 ul pack size suits routine immunoblotting of mitochondrial metabolic enzymes, with the polyclonal pool recognizing multiple epitopes on the beta subunit to improve signal over monoclonal alternatives. For handling, store refrigerated in the dark, aliquot on first use to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light to preserve antibody activity across the working shelf life of the vial.
