Isocitrate dehydrogenase 2 (IDH2) is a mitochondrial NADP-dependent enzyme that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to alpha-ketoglutarate within the TCA cycle, and it has become a focal target in cancer biology because point mutations at hotspots such as R140 and R172 drive oncogenic metabolite accumulation in acute myeloid leukemia and several glioma subtypes. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com specifically detects human IDH2 and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications, supporting studies of metabolic rewiring, mutation-specific immunoprofiling, and tumor biomarker characterization across cell lines and primary tissue. Supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum raised in rabbit, the antibody binds the endogenous mitochondrial protein in human samples and is intended for research use only, with handling consistent with standard polyclonal IgG protocols including refrigeration and aliquoting to limit repeated freeze-thaw events.
