A rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com raised against ICAM-2 (Intercellular Adhesion Molecule 2, also called CD102), a transmembrane immunoglobulin-family glycoprotein best known for mediating leukocyte adhesion to vascular endothelium and supporting lymphocyte recirculation through lymph nodes. The antibody is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, packaged as a 50 µl vial.

Validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications on human specimens, this reagent binds the native ICAM-2 protein expressed on resting endothelial cells, lymphocytes, monocytes, and platelets. Because it is polyclonal, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, which generally yields stronger signal in tissue sections and reduces the risk of epitope loss during formalin fixation or antigen retrieval.

The unconjugated format gives laboratories flexibility to conjugate the antibody to HRP, biotin, Alexa Fluor dyes, or other labels to suit their workflow. Common research contexts include mapping endothelial activation in inflammatory disease, characterizing immune-cell trafficking in transplant and graft-versus-host models, and probing adhesion-molecule expression on tumor vasculature.

Keep refrigerated; aliquot upon first thaw if the vial will be used over an extended period, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
