Anti-ICAM-2 Antibody

Generated from a rabbit host, this polyclonal reagent targets ICAM-2 (also known as CD102), an immunoglobulin-like cell-surface adhesion molecule that mediates leukocyte trafficking through its interaction with the integrin LFA-1 (CD11a/CD18). The unconjugated preparation is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, helping to preserve activity during long-term storage at refrigerated temperatures. Each vial contains 100 µl of ready-to-use antibody, sufficient for multiple Western blot and immunohistochemistry experiments on human tissue sections, cultured cell monolayers, and cell lysates.

Validated for WB and IHC on human samples, the reagent detects endogenous ICAM-2 expression and is well suited to studies of endothelial activation, lymphocyte recirculation, and inflammatory cell adhesion. The presence of 0.1% sodium azide should be considered when planning downstream applications with live cells or azide-sensitive conjugation chemistries; the glycerol-based formulation also avoids the need for an extra freeze-thaw cycle before the first use.
