Anti-IBSP Antibody

This unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody targets Integrin-Binding Sialoprotein (IBSP), also known as Bone Sialoprotein (BSP), a highly glycosylated and phosphorylated secreted glycoprotein that serves as a major non-collagenous component of the bone extracellular matrix. IBSP is expressed predominantly by osteoblasts, osteoclasts, and hypertrophic chondrocytes, where it supports hydroxyapatite nucleation and mediates cell-matrix adhesion through RGD-dependent integrin binding. Investigators studying osteogenic differentiation, skeletal development, osteoporosis, and mineralization disorders use IBSP detection to monitor matrix deposition and bone turnover.
