Anti-IAP Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody recognizes Integrin-Associated Protein (IAP), a broadly expressed transmembrane glycoprotein also known as CD47. IAP participates in integrin-mediated cell signaling and acts as a "don't eat me" ligand for SIRPα on macrophages. Supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the reagent is packaged as a 100 µl aliquot and is validated for Western Blot detection of the target in Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.

The glycerol-containing formulation keeps the antibody liquid for storage at -20°C, and repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be minimized to preserve binding activity. Researchers studying integrin signaling, thrombospondin-SIRPα interactions, or macrophage-mediated phagocytosis can use this reagent to probe endogenous IAP/CD47 expression in cell lysates and tissue homogenates separated under reducing SDS-PAGE conditions, with signal developed via standard HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies.
