Anti-IκB-α (Ab-32 / 36) Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this polyclonal reagent binds the IκB-α subunit of the inhibitor of NF-κB (NFKBIA), specifically recognizing the protein when phosphorylated at Ser32 and Ser36 — the canonical phosphorylation marks deposited by the IKK complex that prime IκB-α for SCFβ-TrCP–mediated ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation. By detecting these activation-dependent epitopes, the antibody provides a readout of acute NF-κB pathway stimulation in human cells and tissue. The reagent is validated for Western blot, where it reports stimulus-driven IκB-α turnover, and for immunohistochemistry, where it localizes phospho-IκB-α–positive cells in fixed tissue sections.
