Anti-HXK I / HK1 Antibody

This mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically targets hexokinase 1 (HK1), the approximately 102 kDa enzyme that catalyzes the ATP-dependent phosphorylation of glucose to glucose-6-phosphate at the outer mitochondrial membrane. Supplied as 100 µl of purified immunoglobulin in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated reagent is validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry workflows on human samples.

HK1 is the dominant hexokinase isoform in brain and erythrocyte tissue and is widely studied in the context of glycolytic flux, mitochondrial regulation, and the metabolic rewiring observed in tumor cells.
