Anti-HXK I Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody offered by Antibodies.com targets HXK I and is provided as an unconjugated reagent validated for use in Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and ELISA applications. The antibody is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples.

Specificity is directed against endogenous levels of the HXK I protein, with the immunogen being a synthesized peptide derived from the N-terminal region of human HXK I. The reagent is supplied at a concentration of 1 mg/mL in a liquid formulation consisting of PBS with 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. It is affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen.

Storage guidance from the manufacturer is to ship the product at 4°C, then upon receipt aliquot and store at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The target protein, HXK I, is hexokinase 1, a low-tissue-specificity enzyme localised to mitochondria and classified as an intracellular protein encoded on chromosome 10.
