HVCN1 encodes a voltage-gated proton channel, a 273-residue membrane protein that mediates proton extrusion in immune cells, spermatozoa, and other excitable tissues. This polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot detection of the native Hv1 channel in human cell lysates.
Functionally, HVCN1 supports NADPH oxidase activity during the phagocyte respiratory burst, contributes to B cell receptor signaling, and maintains intracellular pH. Researchers use this antibody in immunoblotting workflows to characterize expression in neutrophils, lymphocytes, and reproductive tissue, or as a control in ion channel biophysics studies.
Each vial contains 200 µL of unconjugated antiserum, supplied as a polyclonal reagent that recognizes multiple epitopes on the target protein. Aliquot upon receipt and store refrigerated; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. Research use only.
