This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in goat and targets the gp120 envelope glycoprotein of Human Immunodeficiency Virus 1. Supplied as a purified IgG fraction in a 500 µl vial, the unconjugated antibody is validated across multiple immunodetection workflows including ELISA, western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence assay.

The gp120 surface subunit mediates viral attachment to host CD4 receptors and CCR5/CXCR4 co-receptors, making antibodies raised against it useful tools for HIV-1 envelope research, vaccine antigen characterization, and screening of recombinant immunogens. As a polyclonal reagent, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes across the gp120 molecule, which can be advantageous for detecting denatured targets in western blot or formalin-fixed sections in immunohistochemistry.

Suggested starting dilutions vary by assay format; western blot uses 1:500–1:2000, immunohistochemistry 1:100–1:500, and ELISA 1:1000–1:5000, though end-users should titrate empirically. Store refrigerated in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity across experiments.
